Our research-based program works because it utilizes the power of your subconscious mind to release painful memories and achieve closure. Your healing process occurs in five stages:
 
Stage 1: Stress and Emotion Management During this stage, you learn stress-management, coping skills, and how to remain focused on the present moment, rather than the past or flashbacks.
 
Stage 2: Regulate Your Nervous System. One of the biggest problems trauma sufferers face is that they rarely FEEL safe, even if it has been years since their traumatizing event, and there is no present danger. This is because trauma teaches us to be hypervigilant, and our nervous system is always on the lookout for trouble, making it difficult to relax, socialize, move forward with plans or sleep. During this stage, you will learn various quick exercises and practices to calm your nerves and teach your body to relax. 
 
Stage 3: Process Difficult Emotions. Living with trauma is like trying to push a beach ball under water. If you only use coping skills and relaxation techniques, difficult emotions will keep popping up in your life. To fully heal, you will need to eventually work through those difficult feelings. What most people don’t know is that this can be fun! In addition to cognitive behavioral therapy, one can also use art, writing, movement, or dance to get to the other side of a heavy emotion, to name a few. You don’t even have to use words or re-live the trauma to feel relief!
 
Stage 4: Rescue Your Younger Self. Ever wished that someone could have saved you from the trauma you suffered? Well, with all of these tools under your belt, you are ready to be the hero that you have been waiting for. During this deep session, we visualize rescuing your younger self and standing up to the person who traumatized you. In doing so, you can reclaim your power and finally move beyond the fear and anger that keeps you stuck. This reduces the level of fear you have about your memories, so you no longer have to avoid people, places or activities that retrigger the trauma.
 
Stage 5: Closure & Boundary setting. Decide what lines to draw to protect your newfound sense of safety and peace. What people need to be shown the boundary lines? All of this can be achieved as you confront yourself and others in the safety of your mind, before doing so in person. This mental drama helps you move on to acceptance, freedom and forgiveness, while protecting your newfound freedom.
